Hand-Tied vs Micro Weft

Both weft types are available across the Mane + Stitch line. The difference comes down to width, weight and how much you customise at the chair.

Hand-tied weft

• 11 inches across
• 14" weft — 12.5g per weft
• 18" and 22" wefts — 16.7g per weft
• 24" weft — 20g per weft

Sold as singles or in half packs of four wefts. The narrower width suits sectioned rows where you are placing a set number of wefts per row.

Micro weft

• 33 inches across
• No mustache hair
• Can be cut along the weft to customise per client
• Micro weft pack — 50g total

The extra width means one weft covers a full row, and because it can be cut along its length you size it to the client rather than working around a fixed weft width. Micro wefts are available in select colours.

Which to choose

Micro wefts give you more control per head and less waste when a client's row width falls between standard weft counts. Hand-tied wefts are the more familiar format and the easier one to estimate when you are ordering for a known set of clients.

Many stylists keep both: hand-tied for standard installs, micro for clients who need custom widths or have finer sections.
